When I was feeding Lucy last night, I noticed she was chomping down on the spoon and holding it in her mouth. I ran my finger along her bottom gum, and there it was, the sharp top of a tooth! It hasn’t completely broken through yet, but it’s starting to. I’m so excited about this new development, yet I’m getting a little sad because she’s growing up so fast!

This week was a fabulous week. I was way under my budget of $50 a week, which is great. I have a few small things I still need to get, but I won’t pick those up until next week, most likely. I didn’t need much food-wise, since I still have a really good stockpile, so I picked up some things that were on sale that I know we’d use, and I stocked up on more toiletries.

I know they’re late seeing as how Lucy just turned 8 months old, but at least we got them done!

Last Tuesday was primary election day here in Georgia. It was Lucy’s first introduction to voting. Start ‘em young!

Lucy was pretty proud of being a Georgia voter!

Election day is one of the reasons I love being in the media. It’s pretty much the pinnacle of what we do. I was on the air throughout the night reporting numbers. We ended up with quite an upset in the local county school board race with none of the incumbents being re-elected.

This is a pretty big election year for us, with many state officers up, including governor. I’m really looking forward to the general election in November!
